  Kuwabara started out living with his darling older sister, Shizuru. However, it didn't take long for him to set his eyes upon the beautiful ice maiden down the road. As soon as they met, Kuwabara threw his energy into getting fit (to protect the fair maiden), earning money (so they could buy their own love nest), and putting on the smoothest possible moves with the intention of winning her heart.  Interestingly, it didn't take long for Yukina to accept his advances.  In fact, Yukina was more than eager to explore the world of romance with Kuwabara, and before long they were doing all kinds of things that would make older brother Hiei lose his mind if he knew the truth (even though Hiei was doing just the same with Kurama).
